About Ioanna (ee-oh-ah-nah)

Hello, welcome to Cognizant Psychotherapy!

I work with adults and teens navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, burnout,
perfectionism, career pressure, identity transitions, relationship stress, and major life
changes. I also support individuals and couples facing infertility, perinatal loss,

postpartum anxiety or depression, and the emotional strain of trying to build or grow

a family.

Before becoming a mental health counselor, I spent more than 20 years in banking,
management consulting, and fintech entrepreneurship, including building and exiting a regulated financial analytics platform. That experience shaped how I understand ambition, stress, reinvention, responsibility, and the private cost of always having to perform.

My clinical style is warm, collaborative, and grounded in empathy, unconditional positive
regard, and genuineness. I draw from person-centered therapy, EMDR, CBT, solution-focused therapy, and motivational interviewing to help clients better understand their patterns, regulate emotions, strengthen relationships, find their balance, and reconnect with what matters. My goal is to help you move toward a life that feels more meaningful, connected, and chosen.

Session Fee: Individual Therapy $150
​                  Couple/Family Therapy $200

Sliding Scale: I offer a sliding scale based on eligibility.
