About Farah

Hello, welcome to Cognizant Psychotherapy!

I work with individuals, couples, adolescents, and families navigating life’s most complex
and tender moments — whether that’s trauma, intrapersonal and/or interpersonal conflict,
grief, identity exploration, or major life transitions.
As an Arab American therapist, I understand the need to integrate how culture and
familial dynamics impact our identity, values, behaviors, priorities, and relationships. My
approach is rooted in empathy and a sincere, humane connection. My goal is to create
a healing space that helps individuals, couples, and families navigate challenges and find
resilience amidst struggle.
In our work together, we will explore your self-narratives to understand how they’ve guided or protected you.
We will take into account how culture and family dynamics have shaped your identity, values, and relationships. Together, we’ll reflect on how the past may be impacting your present, challenge unhelpful thoughts and beliefs, and identify practical steps toward meaningful change. From this place of understanding, we can begin healing by creating more compassionate and empowering ways of viewing yourself and your experiences.
