About Xueran
Hello, welcome to Cognizant Psychotherapy!
My therapy approach is both insight-oriented and solution-focused, rooted in collaboration
and cultural attunement. I specialize in helping high-functioning young adults navigate
challenges such as:

-
Anxiety, Depression, and Trauma (including PTSD)
-
Interpersonal & Relationship Issues
-
Identity & Self-Esteem (perfectionism, procrastination & people-pleasing)
-
Grief, Loss, and Life Transitions
-
ADHD, OCD, Addiction, and Compulsive Behaviors
My first career was in FX trading on Wall Street, which taught me insights into navigating a high-stress, high-performance life. As a Chinese immigrant from Beijing, I understand the external expectation and internal desire for control and to ‘excel' both personally and professionally. My clients are often bright and accomplished, yet they still feel disconnected, uncertain, or never quite ‘good enough’. In sessions, we'll use practical strategies (from CBT and SFT) combined with empowering mind-body tools (like EMDR and mindfulness) to help you clarify and move confidently towards your therapy goals.
I am bilingual and have experience working with clients who speak English and Mandarin, including adolescents, adults, couples, and families.
